The shells from our roasted cacao beans make a delicious tea. Add 2 tsp. to 1 tbsp of tea for each cup of water, steep for 3-5 minutes and add a touch of our honey to complete your morning ritual.
This tea also makes excellent chocolate extract and chocolate spirits. Steep one cup of tea in one quart of clear spirits for one to two weeks, strain into a container of your choice and add a touch of simple syrup and a small snip of vanilla bean (optional) to round out the flavor. Enjoy over ice as an after dinner drink, over vanilla ice cream, or in any baked good the way you would use vanilla extract.
